Ranch Style Lima Beans

  • This is great for summer barbeques.
  • Makes 12 servings.
  • Ingredients:
    • 2 1/2 lbs. Lima beans, drained
    • 15 oz. Tomatoes, diced
    • 1 large Onion, chopped
    • 2/3 c. packed Brown sugar
    • 2 t. Chili powder
    • 2 t. Garlic powder
    • 1 1/2 t. Salt
    • 1/4 t. Black pepper
    • 8 slices Bacon, cut up
  • Instructions:
    • Combine lima beans, tomatoes, onion, brown sugar, chili powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly. Pour into a greased 13 x 9 casserole dish.
    • Place bacon pieces carefully on top – its best if they don’t sink and can cook on top. Bake at 325 degrees for 2 hours. Cover if it starts to brown too fast.
