Makes 18 servings. Garnish with leaf lettuce and a fresh strawberry for a beautiful spring salad.
Ingredients:
4 cups Thin pretzel sticks, broken up
1/4 cup Sugar
3/4 cup Margarine, melted
16 ounces Cream cheese, softened
1 1/3 cups Powdered sugar
1 cups Whipped topping
16 ounces Strawberry gelatin
2 1/2 cups Hot water
20 ounces Frozen strawberries
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine pretzel stick pieces, sugar, and melted margarine. Spread in the bottom of a 13 x 9 inch pan. Bake for 10 minutes, then let cool.
Meanwhile, in a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Fold in whipped topping. Spread this mixture over pretzels.
Combine gelatin and hot water and mix until blended. Add strawberries and cool until thickened. Pour over cream cheese and chill until set.
