Kendra’s Maid-Rite Sandwiches

  • Makes 16 servings
  • Ingredients:
    • 2 pounds Ground beef
    • 1 Onion, chopper
    • 3/4 cup Ketchup
    • 2 Tablespoons brown sugar
    • 2 Tablespoons distilled white vinegar
    • 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
    • 2 teaspoons yellow mustard
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 16 hamburger buns, warmed
  • Instructions:
    • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and stir in the ground beef and onion. Cook and stir until the beef is crumbly, evenly browned, and no longer pink. Drain and discard any extra grease.
    • Stir in the ketchup, brown sugar, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, and salt. Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer 20 minutes longer.
    • Serve on warmed buns.
