- 1/2 c. Butter, softened
- 2 c. Sugar
- 7 eggs, separated
- 3 c. Sifted flour
- 1 T. Baking powder
- 1/4 t. Salt
- 1/2 c. Orange juice
- 1/2 c. Water
- 1 t. Vanilla
- 3 c. Powdered Sugar
- 3 Oranges, juiced
- Water
- Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a Bundt pan with non-stick spray.
- For the cake: Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add egg yolks and beat until blended.
- Combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Add flour to butter mixture, alternately with the orange juice and water. Add vanilla.
- Beat egg whites until stiff peaks form. Fold into cake batter. Pour batter into Bundt pan.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted one inch from the edge comes out clean. Cool. Invert and drizzle with glaze.
- For glaze: Combine powered sugar with the juice from 3 oranges. Mix until smooth. Add enough water to make a glaze consistency.
