75-hour Nurse Aide Course
Calvin Community’s Nurse Assistant Training Program is approved by the Iowa Department of Inspections and Appeals. This is a 5-week course, meeting Tuesday & Thursday evenings 5:30p-9:30p and Saturday OR Sundays 8:00a-4:30p. Clinical schedule will vary.
Program Value
There is no charge to attend the Nurse Aide Program at Calvin. The program is valued at over $700 which includes your textbook, workbook, lab/ lecture supplies, clinical time and clinical skill supplies. You will also receive your American Heart Association CPR certification. In addition, included is the value of your background check.
Clinical Requirements
Each student will be required to pass a background check and is responsible to complete the following Mandatory Clinical Requirements by a specified date:
- Medical history/Physical exam
- TB Test
