Cheddar Cheese Popovers

  • Ingredients:
    • 6 Eggs
    • 2 cups of Milk
    • 6 tablespoons Margarine, melted
    • 2 cups All-purpose flour
    • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
    • 1 cup Cheddar cheese, finely shredded
  • Instructions:
    • Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease muffin pans generously.
    • In a large bowl beat eggs until foamy. Add milk and melted margarine. With mixer on low speed, add flour, salt, and shredded cheese.
    • Fill muffin cups three quarters full with batter.
    • Bake 30 minutes. Remove from oven and with a sharp knife make a small slit in each popover to allow steam to escape.
    • Bake 10 more minutes. Remove immediately from muffin cups. Serve hot.
  • This recipe makes 12 – 15 popovers.
