- 6 Eggs
- 2 cups of Milk
- 6 tablespoons Margarine, melted
- 2 cups All-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 1 cup Cheddar cheese, finely shredded
- Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease muffin pans generously.
- In a large bowl beat eggs until foamy. Add milk and melted margarine. With mixer on low speed, add flour, salt, and shredded cheese.
- Fill muffin cups three quarters full with batter.
- Bake 30 minutes. Remove from oven and with a sharp knife make a small slit in each popover to allow steam to escape.
- Bake 10 more minutes. Remove immediately from muffin cups. Serve hot.
- This recipe makes 12 – 15 popovers.
